i was you. now i’m more
Growing up as an only child, I lived in an abusive and dysfunctional household. In 3rd grade, my teacher noticed some bruises on me and had to call Child Protective Services, which led to my dad stopping the physical abuse. However, the verbal and mental abuse continued, and I lived in a constant state of fear and anger as long as I stayed under the same roof.
My parents fought almost every day, and there were several instances when family and friends had to come over to intervene in the abuse. Consequently, I was on a path to self-destruction, unknowingly replicating this behavior in my own relationships as I started dating. I often picked fights for no reason and couldn't understand why I struggled to maintain any relationship.
I needed guidance and help; I was searching for a mentor but had difficulty finding one. So, I had to navigate this journey on my own. Started at the age of 34, through 7 years of personal development, which included counseling, attending seminars, reading books, and developing good habits, I continuously invested in myself.
As a result, I started three businesses, bought my dream home, yada yada yada. However, my GREATEST accomplishment is raising a family of four, which includes a son who is severely disabled, and non-verbal due to his diagnosis of Autism and Williams syndrome. Despite these challenges, I have been happily married for over 10 years.
My purpose is to contribute to society by guiding others who are going through similar paths so they don’t need to wait until they’re in their 30’s, spend seven years—or go through a divorce—to figure things out.
Don’t give up; I did it, and I will show you how!
